The lovely people at Jetsetter asked me to do a write up on one of my favourite spots where the cutest kitchen garden in town will soon be in bloom again.
For now, I'm busy tending seedlings that will be transported all the way across the street to the hotel's garden, tended as well as me and Wheatgrass Maggie can until they are ready to be enjoyed by guests and diners in the fab Brasserie One.
I grew these tiny Alpine Strawberries from seed last year and was amazed that it worked, I got no fruit last year but you can see little flowers means little strawberries are on the way
Spuds chitting on my window sill, tomato seedlings doing well and the little propagator has basil and courgettes just peeping through
The first salads of the year at home
Hi Val, Thank you so much for a brillant 5 weeks, I really enjoyed your self sufficiency workshop in No1 Pery Square, learned loads and it’s so rewarding to see my seedlings growing!! My lettuce is doing really well and I can’t wait to eat it.. I would recommend your course to anyone that is interested in starting to grow your own. Best of luck with everything.
